Updated Kitchen
The kitchen was completely rennovated in December of 1998. Like the bathroom and upstairs bedroom projects, the kitchen was comeletely torn down and rebuilt with new components and updated appliances. The only components retained from the old kitchen are the stainless steel sink, disposal and microwave oven.

The new kitchen features:

Custom "frosted maple" cabinets with hardwood drawers and doors

Amana 21.8 cubic feet side-by-side fridge with icemaker and through-door ice and water dispenser

GE "Spacesaver" microwave oven above range

Whirlpool "465" electric oven with smooth surface cooktop

Armstrong no-wax vinyl floor

GE "Potscrubber"dishwasher

The electrical service to the kitchen was fully upgraded as well. There are now a total of 5 separate circuits feeding the kitchen accessories. What's great about this setup is that you can run a waffle iron on one counter, a toaster on another, a popcorn popper on the 3rd and the microwave all at the same time without worrying about having to "pop" a circuit breaker.

The separate circuits are:

Above range microwave oven -15 Amp dedicated circuit

Garbage disposal - 15 Amp dedicated circuit

Lights and 2 outlets on outside (left) wall - 20 Amp circuit

2 outlets on back wall - 15 Amp circuit

Refrigerator and 1 outlet on inside (right) wall - 20 Amp circuit

The kitchen also features crown moldings. Here are a couple of pictures that show the crown molding after it was installed and primed, but before it was caulked and painted.
